INGREDIENTS
- 250g paneer (cubed)
- 2 tomatoes (roughly chopped)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 8-10 cashews
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp kasuri methi (crushed)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp fresh cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
- Water as needed
Recipe
- Step 1: Make Tomato-Cashew Paste
- - Boil chopped tomatoes and cashews with little water for 5 minutes. Let it cool.
- - Blend into a smooth paste and set aside.
- Step 2: Sauté Onions
- - Heat butter in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- - Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until raw smell disappears.
- Step 3: Prepare the Gravy
- - Add the tomato-cashew paste and cook till oil separates.
- - Add turmeric, chili powder, cumin, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
- - Add water to adjust consistency as needed. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Step 4: Add Paneer and Finish
- - Add paneer cubes and simmer for 4–5 minutes.
- - Stir in garam masala, kasuri methi, and fresh cream. Mix gently.
- Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- - Garnish with coriander leaves and a drizzle of cream.
- - Serve hot with naan, kulcha, or jeera rice.
