Gobi Manchurian Dry

INGREDIENTS

Recipe

Step 1: Prepare the Gobi (Cauliflower)
- Wash and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
- Blanch the florets in hot water for 2-3 minutes to remove any impurities, then drain and set aside to cool.
Step 2: Make the Batter
- In a mixing bowl, combine cornflour, all-purpose flour, rice flour, ginger-garlic paste,
- red chili powder, turmeric powder, soy sauce, and salt.
- Add water little by little to make a thick batter that coats the florets well.
Step 3: Fry the Gobi
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oil and set aside on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Step 4: Stir-fry the Vegetables
- In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil on medium-high heat.
- Add chopped onions and bell pepper, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crunchy.
Step 5: Make the Sauce
- To the stir-fried vegetables, add soy sauce, tomato ketchup,
- green chili sauce (if using), vinegar, and sugar. Stir well.
- Cook for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors.
Step 6: Combine the Gobi with Sauce
- Add the crispy fried cauliflower florets to the sauce mixture and toss gently to coat them with the sauce.
Step 7: Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with chopped spring onions.
- Serve hot as a starter or appetizer, with a side of fried rice or noodles.
